Thursday, February 2nd- Spirit Night @ Subway Mulberry Village (4-10pm)
The Mulberry Student Council is sponsoring a fun and impactful global service project, and we want you to join the effort.
We Give Books is a free website that enables anyone with Internet access to put books in the hands of children who don’t have them, simply by reading online. If each student at Mulberry reads 4 books online, we will be able to give 2400 books to the children of Malawi, Africa as part of the Moving Windmills campaign.
Here’s how it works. Log in at http://www.wegivebooks.org/, using the following information: Username: mulberry Password: meerkat
Choose books and READ! Student council will keep us updated on our progress. The Mulberry project begins today and will continue through Thursday, March 29. Help us help others.

Stephen Covey's Habits
In order to prepare our students for the opportunities and challenges that await 21st century citizens, we will also focus on leadership characteristics. The children will be exposed to Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits as a means to build a common language from which to reinforce principles such as responsibility, planning ahead, respect for others, teamwork, and balance. Students will also learn to use tools to help them set goals and monitor their own progress in learning.
Listed below are the 7 Habits so that you, too, can incorporate them in family conversations and routines.
#1 Be Proactive You are in charge
#2 Begin With the End in Mind Have a plan
#3 Put First Things First Work first, then play
#4 Think Win-Win so that everyone benefits
#5 Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood Listen before you speak
#6 Synergize Working together is better
#7 Sharpen the Saw Learn to live in balance
